Al-Fahs is located two kilometers south of the archaeological site of Tuborbo Magus, the city dating from Punic and then Roman times, which includes some of the most important and beautiful Roman mosaics and statues, as well as baths and temples. In the ancient Arabic language of examination, the meaning of the flat plain in which it takes place, and the French added the word (Qantara) to the names of urban gatherings, so I took this name "Qantara al-Fahs " historically, and today it is abbreviated as Examination. In which the French established a railway station in 1903 and were the first signs of the current Examination.
